When you buy East Atlanta Skateshop merch, every sale helps sustain this social enterprise work and keeps our mission moving forward. We have a limited run of shirts and hats on offer at eastatlantaskateshop.org

We will be ready to fulfill online orders available via local pickup again next Monday through Friday (10/19-10/23).

All shop shirts and hats are designed and made in southeast Atlanta using premium blanks, and all are $28 + tax. We think $28 is a fair price, and it also reflects our 28 years of service to and with our community ❤️

Updates are few and far between because we have been doing the work and building this space alongside supporters.

East Atlanta Skateshop is really taking shape, thanks to neighbors who have shared their time, talent, tools, donations, and encouragement.

We’re building a neighborhood skateshop where kids and teens can belong, learn to skate, design and make merchandise, and get real experience running a business and seeing all of the joys and challenges of that work up close. All profits will support East Atlanta Kids Club’s no-cost youth programs.

We’re still waiting on final steps in the permitting process before we can officially open. That wait has been longer than we wanted, but the response from this community keeps us going. Meeting so many of you at Strut and hearing what you hope this place can become meant a lot. You also bought 101 shop shirts in a single day, and that’s pretty amazing.

Swipe through to see where we are today. If you’d like to help us get to opening day and put this space to work for young people, please donate through the link in our bio. Sharing this post helps, too, and we always appreciate the love.

Thank you for helping us build a place to build and belong.

Big news for a little shop with a big idea. 🛹

The @atlbizchronicle recently spent some time with us talking about our vision for East Atlanta Skateshop and, more importantly, about why young people need places to belong, gather, create, and grow outside of home and school.

We’re building this space with our young people and our neighborhood, and we’ve been incredibly encouraged by the coalition forming around it: local businesses, funders, skaters, creatives, civic partners, and neighbors who believe East Atlanta’s growth should include meaningful spaces for kids and teens.

We’re deep in buildout and permitting now, and there is still plenty of work ahead, but this vision is becoming real.

Grateful to everyone helping us carry it forward 🙏

Thanks to @joshuaskinnertv from @atlantanewsfirst

Thanks to @joshuaskinnertv from @atlantanewsfirst for sharing the ongoing impact that @cocogauff has had on our community and our youth development programming at EAKC. Huge thanks to @coachdaisha360 for always being a great role model for our kids.

We also owe a huge thanks to @artinthepaintorg who renovated these courts (and our basketball court) alongside public spaces all over Atlanta (and beyond). We help convene folks, but the labor of pulling together partners and making these spaces inviting for kids and community is all them ❤️

@drewborders.art worked her magic on this like everything else she paints 💫

When we care for our community’s kids, we all win 🏆.

Can you believe we’re already entering week 5 of our 6-week summer camp program!

We would like to give a huge thank you to @newbalance for the wonderful merch they donated to our kiddos. Check out our review of week 4, that includes pics of our campers with their new sneakers, shirts and shorts.

What an incredible Juneteenth celebration! ❤️🖤💚 We

What an incredible Juneteenth celebration! ❤️🖤💚
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing EAKC families for showing up in so many ways. Whether you attended, donated food, shared your talents, volunteered your time, or supported our Teen Club by purchasing their Juneteenth merchandise, your contributions helped make this event a tremendous success.

A special congratulations goes out to our Teen Club members, who did an outstanding job creating and nearly selling out their merchandise. It was gratifying watching our youth showcase their creativity, with confidence, and true entrepreneurial spirit.

We would also like to thank Ms. Ashley of @nguzobabies
for providing such a fun and engaging puppet show for our littles. Their smiles, laughter, and excitement said it all!

Juneteenth is a time to celebrate freedom, culture, community, and the strength of those who came before us. We are grateful to have shared this meaningful day with our families and supporters.

Thank you for helping us create another memorable Juneteenth celebration. It truly could not have been done without you.

We are already looking forward to celebrating with you again next year! ❤️🖤💚

For years, Root & Blossom Counseling has partnered

For years, Root & Blossom Counseling has partnered with East Atlanta Kids Club to strengthen protective factors for youth and families in southeast Atlanta.

Together, we’ve worked to ensure that counseling and mental health support are accessible to families without cost becoming a barrier. Through this partnership, young people have received care, connection, encouragement, and space to grow - all within the community they call home.

That’s why it means so much to see Root & Blossom supporting our youth-led skateshop and third space vision as an early believer. Alongside our other early believers, they see the bigger picture and know that we each have simultaneously unique and overlapping roles to play in building a resilient community for all of our neighbors.

Rachel and the Root & Blossom team understand that such communities are built intentionally. They understand that safe spaces matter. They understand that belonging matters.

As both a parent and entrepreneur, Rachel continues expanding her own work in service of more young people and families across Atlanta, and she understands the stakes for this critical care work.

We are grateful for their partnership, their trust, and their belief in what our youth are building.

Thank you, Root & Blossom. ❤️
