What is film camp?
Mission
With the power of film, we aim to ignite a passion for storytelling, collaboration, and self-expression, helping kids grow into confident and compassionate individuals ready to make their mark on the world. Our camp is where dreams take center stage, and where Atlanta’s youth of all backgrounds come together to shine.
Program Design
Over the course of 2 weeks of intensive days during summer camp, EAKC youth engage in experiential, hands-on learning with AppleBox Productions and program partners, including: production design & props, acting & script breakdown, camera & framing, lighting & grip, and filming.
Youth rotate through the departments, and the end result is a Film Camp Premiere for friends, family, and supporters at The Plaza Theatre!

A brief program including information about East Atlanta Kids Club and our partnership with AppleBox Productions, a premiere of a short film created by EAKC youth and AppleBox Productions, and a panel with Film Camp partners and EAKC youth.
Also, expect to be inspired by our EAKC youth. They are amazing.
